A graphic designer and brand consultant based in Carmel, California with over two decades of experience working with businesses, organizations, and individuals across the United States and internationally.
Born in South Africa and raised in Pretoria, Buenos Aires, and Mexico City, Marilet brings an international sensibility and a finely tuned visual language to every project. Her education spans four disciplines — Industrial Design, Interior Architecture, Graphic Design, and Product Development — a breadth that allows her to envision a brand across both two- and three-dimensional environments, from website and print through to interiors and immersive brand experiences.
Her client work ranges from brand identity and art direction to editorial design and brand communications — always rooted in the belief that good design endures because it was created with intention from the start.
Her practice as a fine artist — working with earth pigments, botanical dyes, graphite, and fiber — runs parallel to her design work and deeply informs it. This connection to material and making allows her to bring a tactile quality to digital work: patterns that carry the trace of the hand, textures that feel considered rather than generated, and an overall warmth that sets her work apart.
She is a juried member of the California Society of Printmakers, and her fine art work is held in private and corporate collections.
